SCOPE Maastricht has joined forces with the Green Office and Klimaat Actie Netwerk (KAN) to provide all of Maastricht University with a week-long celebration of all things sustainable. Join us for a series of tailored Faculty Days culminating in a Sustainability Festival on Earth Day.
Monday is SBE day, and we have curated a selection of lectures, workshops, and panels to cater to any interest level, from exploring sustainability for the first time to furthering a long-standing passion. The agenda is as follows:

Sustainability is in! Governments, businesses and influencers are jumping on the bandwagon to promote efficient lightbulbs and recycled plastic packaging. But is that really enough? Based on two recent real-life events, explore in groups what the positive and negative (economic) impacts are for society of various new economic activities. Specifically, zoom in on two conflicting perspectives: the primary manufacturers vs. environmental organisations & local citizens.
